During a visit to the facilities Retegal in Santiago, Nunez Feijoo said the Government's objective for this year will boost the satellite technology to cover the 6 percent of the population who can not access the same by other means, because, mainly, areas of shade for orographic reasons.
With this achieved, according to the chief executive of the Galician, 100 percent of the population with internet coverage, 100 percent access to broadband Internet in industrial estates, full coverage in places such as courts, health centers, pharmacies or schools and over 1.2 million Galicians networking with art.
Nunez Feijoo highlighted the commitment of the Board in this matter despite the financial difficulties of the crisis and the "problem terrain" in Galicia. "We are meeting the goals on time and form," he said.
