Samsung first Ultrabook with an optical drive

ADS HERE Samsung has launched the Series 5 Ultra, a new range of ultrabooks that have a 14 inch screen and an optical disk drive, first for extra-class, all thin and light.

The largest, a 14-inch model 20.9 mm thick, has an aluminum case, in addition to the optical drive, comes with an SSD or HDD storage (up to 1 TB), and HDMI ports Ethernet, an option for a Radeon HD 7550M GPU. It weighs 1.8 kg, which makes it very strong ultrabooks, most of which weigh 1.5 kg or less.

The 13-inch model with 14.9 mm thick, no optical drive and Radeon GPU option, which reduces its weight just 1.4 kg. It has a maximum storage capacity of 500 GB, and also comes with HDMI and Ethernet ports.

Both devices will be available in Korea in late December. The 14-inch model will cost U.S. $ 1.345, while the 13 inch will be a little cheaper, starting at U.S. $ 1.300. The international release date and price are not available at this time. ADS HERE
